Terms & Conditions for Registration, Attendance and Participation 

THE FOLLOWING ATTENDEE TERMS AND CONDITIONS ("TERMS") GOVERN YOUR REGISTRATION AND PARTICIPATION IN THE BRIDGE EVENT AND AFFILIATED EVENTS FOR WHICH YOU ARE REGISTERING (THE "EVENT"). BY CLICKING THE "I ACCEPT" OR "SUBMIT" BUTTON DURING THE REGISTRATION PROCESS, OR BY ATTENDING OR PARTICIPATING IN THE EVENT IN ANY CAPACITY, YOU ACCEPT AND AGREE TO BE BOUND BY THESE TERMS AND REPRESENT THAT YOU HAVE READ AND UNDERSTAND ALL THE PROVISIONS HEREIN. YOU MUST NOT SELECT THE "I ACCEPT" OR "SUBMIT" BUTTON, OR ATTEND OR PARTICIPATE IN THE EVENT IN ANY CAPACITY IF YOU DO NOT AGREE TO THESE TERMS. AS USED HEREIN, "YOU" AND "YOUR" MEANS THE INDIVIDUAL REGISTERING FOR OR PARTICIPATING IN THE EVENT, AND THE COMPANY OR OTHER LEGAL ENTITY BY WHICH YOU ARE EMPLOYED OR FOR WHICH YOU ARE ACCEPTING THESE TERMS. THE "EFFECTIVE DATE" OF THESE TERMS SHALL BE THE DATE THAT YOU CLICK "I ACCEPT" OR "SUBMIT." THESE TERMS ARE BETWEEN YOU AND TBW CO., LTD. 不是台北區塊鏈股份有限公司 AND ITS AFFILIATES, SUBSIDIARIES, AGENTS AND SERVICE PROVIDERS ("TBW"). 

PAYMENT INSTRUCTIONS. Full payment must be made at the time of registration. Payment can be made by credit or debit card. Please note that your registration will not be considered complete until payment is received. All payments and registration fees are NON-REFUNDABLE. 

EVENT PLANNING. The Event schedule is subject to change without notice. TBW does not guarantee the attendance of any exhibitor or speaker, or that any scheduled event will take place, particularly in the event of any natural or public disaster, insufficient participation or sponsorship, government regulation or shutdown, necessary venue construction, labor controversy, civil disturbance, acts or threats of terrorism, armed conflict, pandemics or epidemics or similar reasons beyond its reasonable control. TBW will not be liable and no reimbursement will be made in the event of a cancellation or modification of times, dates, sessions or events. 

THIRD PARTY CONTENT. TBW may create content via third-parties, including exhibitors, available at the Event (“Third Party Content”). Such Third Party Content is not created by TBW. The provision of such Third Party Content is for general informational purposes only and does not constitute a recommendation or solicitation to purchase or sell any product or service. In addition, Third Party Content is not intended to provide any tax, legal or financial advice. 

EVENT CONDUCT. TBW reserves the right to refuse admission to, or to eject, any person whose conduct is disorderly, disruptive, harassing, vulgar, obscene, indecent, defamatory, hateful or otherwise offensive (including conduct consisting of disparaging statements or opinions regarding race, gender or ethnic background) or who fails to follow any of TBW’s other rules or directions, as determined by TBW in its sole discretion. You understand and agree that the facilities hosting the event may have rules, regulations, capacity restrictions, etc., that you must abide by in order to be admitted to or participate in the Event, or portions thereof, and that non-compliance may impact your admission to or participation in the Event. TBW is not responsible for your inability to attend or participate in the Event, or any portion thereof.

SECURITY AND PROPERTY. TBW reserves the right to take any security measures that it deems necessary to increase the safety of attendees and exhibitors without prior notice. You should not leave bags or other property unattended. Unattended property may be removed from the Event venue, and TBW will not be responsible for any loss or damage of any kind relating to such removal. By attending the Event, you understand that Event management may conduct security checks at any time during the Event, including, but not limited to, inspections or scans of any attendees or exhibitors person and/or their clothing, bags, containers and other items. Further, by attending the Event, you understand and consent to any such security checks. Firearms, explosives and other weapons and hazardous materials that could be used to cause injury to another attendee are strictly prohibited at the Event venue and related activities.

PERSONAL INFORMATION. TBW needs to collect certain personal data from you in order for you to attend the Event. You agree that TBW may use your registration information to send you updates and surveys regarding the Event. You also agree that TBW may share your personal information with its third party service providers to process your registration. Such third parties may have their own privacy policies that apply to their processing of your personal information. 

RECORDINGS AND PHOTOGRAPHY. You acknowledge and agree that the Event is a public event, that your appearance and actions inside and outside the venue where the Event occurs are public in nature, and that you therefore have no expectation of privacy with regard to your actions or conduct at the Event. By attending the Event, you irrevocably grant TBW the right to interview, record, photograph, visually identify, or otherwise use, reproduce and edit your voice, appearance, likeness, photograph, name and/or biography, in any audio recording, video recording, or still photography (collectively “Appearance and Recording”). You also irrevocably grant TBW the right to exhibit, distribute, transmit and/or otherwise exploit your Appearance and Recording for any advertising, marketing, promotional, publicity, or other purpose that TBW may see fit, without having to first obtain your consent or approval. 

HACKATHON SPECIFIC EVENTS. Please review the rules set out for the Hackathon for specific Terms and Conditions as they relate to the Hackathon. 

ASSUMPTION OF RISK AND RELEASE OF LIABILITY. You understand that participation in the Event is voluntary and carries with it certain inherent risks that cannot be eliminated regardless of the care taken to avoid injuries. You hereby agree to indemnify, release and hold harmless TBW, its officers, directors, employees, vendors, partners, agents and contractors from any and all alleged and/or actual liability, claims, actions, lawsuits, damages and losses of any kind, including attorneys fees, which arise out of or result from your attendance at and participation in the Event and ancillary activities, including but not limited to property damage and personal injuries, illness, death or other physical loss, whether or not foreseeable. 

MODIFICATION AND DENIAL OF ENTRY. TBW reserves the right to change the policies set forth in these Terms without prior notice, and retains sole discretion to deny entry to the Event to anyone for any reason. No refunds will be awarded to any person who is refused admission to, or ejected from, the Event for any reason. 

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES SHALL TBW, ITS AFFILIATES, OR ANY PERSON OR COMPANY RELATED TO THE EVENT (COLLECTIVELY, THE “EVENT PROVIDERS”) BE LIABLE FOR LOST PROFITS OR OTHER INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, SPECIAL, PUNITIVE, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES FOR ANY OF THEIR ACTS OR OMISSIONS IN CONNECTION WITH THE EVENT, WHETHER OR NOT SUCH EVENT PROVIDER HAS BEEN APPRISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES OR LOST PROFITS. IN NO EVENT WILL THE EVENT PROVIDERS’ LIABILITY HEREUNDER, OR OTHERWISE IN CONNECTION WITH THE EVENT, EXCEED THE AMOUNT ACTUALLY PAID TO IT BY YOU. THE EVENT PROVIDERS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY ERRORS IN ANY LISTING OR DESCRIPTIONS OR CONTENT. THE EVENT PROVIDERS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE TO YOU FOR ANY DAMAGE, LOSS, HARM OR INJURY TO THE PERSON, PROPERTY, OR BUSINESS OF YOU, OR ANY UNAVAILABILITY OF THE ONLINE ENVIRONMENT, THE EVENT, ACCIDENT, OR ANY OTHER REASON IN CONNECTION WITH THE EVENT. 

ASSUMPTION OF RISK OF COVID-19. You understand that participation in events and travel will increase your risk of exposure to, and contraction of, communicable diseases, bacteria, agents, and viruses such as COVID-19. Regarding COVID-19, you acknowledge and understand that COVID-19 is a highly contagious and dangerous disease that spreads easily through person-to-person contact. You further acknowledge and accept that participating in the Event carries with it certain inherent risks that cannot be eliminated regardless of the care taken to avoid such risks, that there is presently no known way to provide complete protection from the virus, and that you could contract COVID-19 even while TBW has taken reasonable steps to prevent the risk of transmission of COVID-19. In participating in the Event, you assume these risks and agree to release and hold harmless TBW, the facilities, their employees, and representatives of and from any damages, losses, injuries, liabilities, claims and expenses arising from the contraction or spread of COVID-19, due to your travel to, from, or participation in any aspect of the Event. These Terms are binding on you and on your successors and heirs.

DECLARATION. I declare that I have read and agree to these Terms, and I understand that all payments and registrations are NON-REFUNDABLE. Substitutions may be accepted in lieu of cancellation.
